Every great idea starts with a simple memory.

For founder Eric Dacey, that memory was a bowl of cereal.

In 2012, Eric envisioned a business that could take something as simple as cereal and transform it into a fun, nostalgic experience for people of all ages. With the support of financial partner Daniel Korpanty, that vision began to take shape. Together, they built The Cereal Spot around a simple belief: food has the power to bring people back to some of life's happiest moments.

After months of planning, creativity, and hard work, The Cereal Spot officially launched in 2020. What started as a dream quickly became a local favorite, known for its unique cereal-inspired desserts and imaginative creations. Among those creations was the now-famous Cereal Taco, a signature item that captured the playful spirit of the brand and became a customer favorite.

Over the years, Eric and Daniel poured their hearts into growing The Cereal Spot. Eventually, as life evolved and family became a greater priority, they made the decision to step away from the business they had built.

That's where our story begins.

My name is Kayla Credicott, and while my path to The Cereal Spot may seem unexpected, it feels like it was always meant to be.

My love for the dessert industry started as a teenager scooping ice cream in Niagara Falls, New York. I fell in love with everything about the business—the creativity, the excitement, and the joy that came from creating something special for customers. From elaborate sundaes to outrageous pickle milkshakes (which I drank), I loved experimenting with flavors and dreaming up new creations.

Years later, I combined that passion with my entrepreneurial spirit and founded Whisker Baking Co., operating the business from 2018 to 2020 while simultaneously building a decade-long career in healthcare management. Although healthcare became my profession, my love for creating memorable food experiences never disappeared. Even for my colleagues in the healthcare world!

As my life changed, so did my priorities. After getting married and becoming a mother, I found myself wanting something different. I wanted to spend more time with my family, create meaningful memories together, and build something that reflected the values we shared.

When the opportunity to purchase The Cereal Spot came along, it felt like the perfect fit.

Today, we are honored to continue the legacy Eric and Daniel created while bringing our own family's passion, creativity, and vision to the business. We remain committed to the same mission that started it all: creating fun, nostalgic experiences that bring people together.

But this business does not start and end with me.

The Cereal Spot is truly a family business.

Behind every event, every milkshake, every setup, and every late-night brainstorming session is a family that believes in this dream. From creating new menu ideas and preparing for events to celebrating successes and working through challenges, our family has been involved every step of the way.

Like many families, we understand how important quality time is. In today's busy world, those moments can be difficult to find, which is exactly why we love what we do.

Every day, we get to watch grandparents share stories about their favorite childhood cereals. We see parents introducing their children to the cereals they grew up loving. We watch friends laugh while trying new creations and families create traditions around visiting our truck.

Those moments remind us why we started.

The Cereal Spot is more than a dessert business. It's a celebration of nostalgia, family, community, and the simple joys that bring people together.
